About Me

A recent graduate from the University at Buffalo, I had majored in Political Science, with concentrations in Comparative Politics and International Relations. Although this field of study started off as just a part of school we all need to get through, it had quickly transformed into a significant part of my life, a for which a true passion had grown. The reason I find myself so interested in global affairs is the central idea that everything is connected; especially when globalization is ever increasing. This central idea that war in Libya, thousands of miles away is affecting the gas in my tank, or unrest in Cote d'Ivoire affecting the amount of coffee in my kitchen continues to astound me and motivates me to learn more about our world politically, economically, and culturally every day.

I'm also currently looking for a job involving foreign relations and/or politics in the New York City or Washington D.C. areas. You can reach me at JPSmith3@buffalo.edu.

Join me as I continue to update my blog with continuous stories from a plethora of news sources from around the world, domestic and foreign.
